Focused largely on current quilting, the Museum of the American Quilter's Society exhibits a permanent collection of antique and contemporary works, and presents an array of workshops, conferences, and other events. It has a large exhibit addressing the miniature quilt phenomenon, and a comprehensive quilt-related book store with more than 1,000 titles on history, techniques, and notable individuals. The museum lies downtown, along the waterfront.
